Mission statement
With our concept we try to define the meaning, purpose and objectives of our museum and to provide a framework for our daily activities. Internally, it serves as orientation for the staff; externally, we explain to the public what values and goals our museum stands for.
Collection concept
Collecting, preserving, researching and communicating are among the core tasks of a museum, which is thus always also the "memory" of a town, a city or a region. In times of limited space, museums today no longer collect indiscriminately, but try to focus on their specific themes. Our collection concept therefore defines the guidelines of our collecting and the basic handling of already existing and newly acquired museum objects.
